2001-04-14: Dunes, Dumpsters and Tonjip!?
Who said content was overrated? Not me. That's why I've updated a whole bunch of new fun goodies on the site. As I said, I went on Thursday down to HMV and got Tonjip's latest album, it's going into my work music rotation which means it's gonna get a lot of play ;) I also added a band already in my playlist: Dumpster to the Music Page. On the "To Do" list are Rhubarb, The Frugals and Kings X (in no particular order). I really want to do a Kings X page up. Yes, they aren't a local, but they have been a favourite of mine for quite a number of years.
I also discovered a fantasic local-band site called Brispop.com. They have a lot of the locals on the site and a very nice gig-guide. Methinks I'll be a-visiting there quite a bit :)
I also finally added my first book review to the Books page. The first book is the one I just finished: Dune. I liked it, and I think you might too.
Well, it's Easter time again: time to over-indulge oneself on chocolate. You know more "rabbit-related" break and enters are reported at this time of year than at any other? But just remember, even if you aren't a religeous person: That Easter is the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who sacrificed his live to save those who would follow him. It's a great time to reflect and ask yourself: would you be prepared to sacrifice yourself for someone you loved?
Happy Easter!
