2000-10-29: History Lesson (on Acid)
Yes, I have finally gone through a much needed update. One difference is the address change to aciddan.tripod.com. However, the biggest difference is the new look & feel (neat huh?), on that point, here's a few screentakes of the may generations of the Alternate Universe. Good, bad or indifferent? You decide:
I managed to trawl back through my old docs and stuff and pulled out these beauties (read the text on the screenshots, it's quite funny: "boy do I like animated Gifs" -we learned though didn't we ;) right back to 1998 (Unfortunately, the original Alternate Universe is lost forever)! First are some screenshots of what I found followed by my "logo evolution". Note though that the screenshots are in 1024x768.

The final version of Alternate Universe posted to to the old site on my ISP. Ahh, memories. I also had a crack at an applet called JFortune - used to post a fortune quote every 10 seconds. |

Looking back I'm really glad I didn't post this one. Seems Mozilla and IE5 didn't want to work *quite* right with proper CSS1 stuff - buttons used to "jump" around. Still havent figured out that one... |
Tried to recapture a similar theme to the early 2000 page except completely CSS driven, however I never liked any of the colour schemes I threw at it. Guess it wasn't meant to be... |
...And Last night (2000-10-28), I was playing around with various colours and image manipulation when out came what you see now. |
